The R.W. Sorrell
The R.W. Sorrell Scholarship Fund is a 501C-3 tax-exempt organization that was created to promote and support higher education goals for minority and poor children throughout the following five Delaware Valley Counties: Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia.

Special Recognition to the RWS Scholarship Fund 2020 Award Recipients.
This year, Nadiyah Bell, Cheltenham High School graduate, and Malachi Neal, Upper Darby High School graduate, were the recipients of a $3,000 four-year, renewable scholarship. In addition, a $1,500 Book Scholarship was awarded to Girard Academic Music Program graduate, Lauryn Reynolds.
The RWS Scholarship Fund also renewed four-year scholarships at $3,000 each to seven (7) students who are attending the following colleges and universities: Bloomsburg (PA), Hampton (VA), Penn State (PA), University of Pennsylvania (PA), Villanova (PA), Widener (PA) and Xavier (LA).
In addition, we also congratulate Kevin Yang, a 2016 RW Sorrell Scholarship recipient. Kevin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (Magna Cum Laude) in May 2020 with bachelor degrees in Political Science and Finance.

Robert W. Sorrell was founder and President of R.W. Sorrell Enterprises, LLC. specializing in diversity and fundraising consultation. Bob began his career as an educator, teaching mathematics and coaching basketball, but discovered his niche within human services and civil rights: The Urban League Movement. He served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Urban League and CEO of the Philadelphia Urban League. At the latter, Bob started the State of Black Philadelphia Report to encourage leaders to join the Urban League, implemented new programs and services, and instituted the Urban League Young Professionals and Leadership Institute. Bob also expanded the Urban League Guild.
